Meet KERA, Lopder’s reusable porous ceramic coffee filter designed for paperless pour-over brewing.

Made with approx. 6 μm micro-pores, KERA filters coffee directly through its porous ceramic structure — no disposable paper filter required. Its fine, multi-layer filtration helps reduce unwanted odors and bitterness while allowing more sweetness, acidity, aroma, natural oils, and body to come through.

Choose from three distinct designs:

KERA V — V-shaped design with a faster flow for a cleaner, brighter cup.
KERA U — Rounded U-shaped base with a slower flow for a fuller, rounder cup.
KERA C — A specially kiln-fired edition with a playful cat-shaped base.

Reusable, easy to maintain, and made for a different kind of pour-over experience.

Key Features

• Approx. 6 μm Micro-Porous Ceramic
Fine micro-pores help retain coffee grounds and fine particles while allowing brewed coffee and natural oils to pass through.

• Multi-Layer Porous Filtration
Coffee passes through multiple overlapping porous ceramic pathways instead of a single filter layer, helping deliver a smooth, clean cup with minimal grounds passing through.

• No Paper Filter Required
KERA filters directly through its ceramic body — simply add ground coffee, pour, and brew.

• Reusable & Paperless
Rinse after brewing and use it again. No disposable paper filters to buy, fold, or replace.

• V-Shaped Pour-Over Design
The familiar cone shape supports an intuitive pour-over workflow and even coffee-bed saturation.

• Preserves More Natural Coffee Oils
Unlike paper filters that can absorb coffee oils, porous ceramic allows more of coffee's natural character, aroma, and body into the cup.

FAQ

What is the difference between KERA V, KERA U, and KERA C?

  • KERA V features a V-shaped design with a relatively faster flow, ideal for a cleaner and brighter cup.

  • KERA U has a rounded U-shaped base with a slightly slower flow, creating more contact time and a fuller, rounder cup.

  • KERA C is a specially kiln-fired edition featuring a playful cat-shaped base for a more distinctive brewing experience.
Does KERA require a paper filter?

No. KERA’s porous ceramic body acts as the filter itself, so no disposable paper filter is required.

Will coffee grounds pass through KERA?

KERA’s approx. 6 μm micro-pores help retain coffee grounds and fine particles while allowing brewed coffee to pass through. Grinding too fine may affect both flow and cup clarity.

What grind size works best with KERA?

We recommend starting with a medium-coarse grind. If the flow is too slow, grind slightly coarser and adjust according to your coffee and taste preference.

How does KERA taste different from a paper filter?

KERA helps reduce unwanted odors and harsh bitterness while allowing more natural oils, aroma, sweetness, acidity, and body to remain in the cup, creating a fuller and more expressive flavor profile.

Why does the flow slow down over time, and how do I restore it?

Coffee oils and fine particles may gradually build up inside the porous ceramic structure. After each brew, remove the grounds and rinse KERA thoroughly with clean water. If the flow remains slow or the pores become heavily clogged, KERA can be heat-regenerated using the recommended direct-flame or high-temperature heating method to help remove built-up residue and restore flow. Always allow KERA to cool completely before handling, and never rinse it with cold water while it is still hot.

How long can KERA be reused?

KERA is designed for repeated use. With proper cleaning and care, it can be used again and again without disposable paper filters.
